BRMC’s end of tour Thank You

BRMC’s tour with Death From Above 1979 and Deap Vally ended in Boston on Saturday night and they left us with this photo from DigBoston and some parting words:

Thank you to everyone who came out strong and supported us on tour with our friends ‘Death From Above’ and ‘Deap Vally’. It was sad to say goodbye, but we’ve got a new record to finish tracking…

BRMC posted a video of their cover of “Chelsea Hotel No 2” by Leonard Cohen, who had passed away at 82. It was from The Fillmore in Silver Spring, MD on Friday, November 11, 2016:

After the New York show on November 8th, BRMC also posted a brief commentary on the election:

Before taking the stage in New York on November 8th, tensions were high but still hopes were higher. We played as if there was no tomorrow, as we always do. When we walked off stage however, we found a country shattered and its people torn apart.

There are no adequate words right now, and even though life may appear to be going on as business as usual, beware of the normalization of this election in the days and months ahead. Right-wing movements are gaining unimagined momentum all over the globe, and we are now at the front lines.

Do not refill your prescriptions, do not tune out, do not move to Canada just yet, and don’t think it’s enough tweeting and re-posting all your thoughts/frustrations to friends and family.

This is real. We brought it on ourselves, it’s now our responsibility to oppose right-wing populist movements here and everywhere.

BRMC thanks fans at South American shows

We want to thank everyone who came out to the South American shows, there’s nothing like taking the stage down there, the feeling still resonating at a furious volume in my skull even now. Some sounds bite, and others tune you in to the heavy soul resonator. It’s still got teeth and it can kick, but it takes you where you need to go with all your fingers and toes.
We wish we could stay for longer, but we gotta get back to finish recording the next half of this album…
Sorry again for destroying the stage at the end of the show in Santiago, it was out of necessity though, no one else deserves you, and you know it.

Love BRMC-

Spanish translation thanks to Maria Aravena Guerra via BRMC en español  -Fanpage Facebook group:
