This was a crazy ride of exploring many different colors/sounds/tones for so many months. Coinciding with the US release of The Card Counter on September 10th, this thirteen-track collection began as a one-song project but evolved into something much greater – Levon Been has composed several other original songs for this revenge thriller, as well as much of the film’s instrumental score and sound design.

Hard to believe it’s been that long when I think back to the days of going to see them. Hey, I’m very grateful to finally share a new song from the film score I worked on this last year with Paul Schrader for his upcoming film ‘The Card Counter’ opening in theaters September 10th.The first track ‘Arise Sun’ features little brother Jesse Russell coproducing while banging the drum, and S.G. Goodman supporting on vocals. I can’t really disclose too much more just yet.The full album of songs from the film will be out in September…Hope you enjoy.-Robert
